GRADE 12 & ABOVE 

TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED

PURPOSE – Contribute and be part of the hospitality/serving team by providing exemplary food and beverage service to our students and guests.

JOB BRIEF OUTLINE/ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Greeting customers and showing them to their table.

  • Preparing tables, ensuring they are clean and fully set.

  • Maintaining knowledge of the complete menu, daily specials, and available items.

  • Presenting customers with the menu, informing them of daily specials, and taking orders.

  • Checking the quality of dishes before serving them.

  • Delivering food and beverages in a timely manner.

  • Attending tables and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Strictly adhering to food, sanitary, and safety standards.

  • Supporting the kitchen with food prep. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM THE ROLE

  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills.

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude.

  • Excellent customer service skills & a team player

  • Experience as Wait Staff, Server or in a similar role preferred.

  • Flexibility to multitask and support in varied functions relating to food prep – including dishwashing & food preparation, kitchen assist. 

  • Experience operating a cash register and using ordering systems.

OPERATING ENVIRONMENT

Mostly indoors within the restaurant/college premises. At times would be required to perform outdoor cleaning and other restaurant hygiene related tasks. Fast paced environment, work under pressure, standing role.

PURPOSE – Contribute to the kitchen team by supporting in the preparation of the food to be served. Ensuring all cleaning, sanitization and health protocols are maintained.

JOB BRIEF OUTLINE/ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Preparing meal ingredients, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing ingredients.

  • Assist the Chef on duty with all menu preparations.

  • Ensure dishes are prepared and plated to restaurant standard.

  • Storing ingredients and food items according to food safety standards.

  • Strictly adhering to food, sanitary, and safety standards.

  • Properly washing and drying all dishes, utensils, cooking instruments and cutting boards.

  • Neatly putting away all utensils, cooking instruments, dishes, and cutting boards in their respective places.

  • Removing garbage, replacing garbage bags, and washing garbage cans.

  • Mopping and sweeping the kitchen areas as required.
